What is Phenergan Syrup used for?

Relief of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (runny nose
sneezing)
urticaria (hives)
pruritus (itching)
and other allergy-related symptoms; may also be used for nausea/vomiting and motion sickness when prescribed.

How Phenergan Syrup Works

Promethazine is a first-generation H1 antihistamine. It blocks histamine H1 receptors to reduce allergy symptoms and also has anticholinergic and sedative effects which can help with nausea and motion sickness.

Dosage & Directions

Oral syrup: take the dose exactly as prescribed by a doctor. Can be taken with or without food; taking after food may reduce stomach upset. Measure with a proper measuring cup/spoon. May cause drowsiness—prefer bedtime dosing if advised; do not drive or operate machinery after taking.
