Metoprolol succinate (extended-release) 25 mg + Amlodipine 5 mg
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure); may also be used in patients with angina (chest pain) where BP control is needed as advised by the doctor.
Metoprolol is a selective beta-1 blocker that reduces heart rate and cardiac output, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing cardiac workload. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure. The combination provides additive BP control.
Take as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush/chew (metoprolol is extended-release). Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
Common side effects of Revelol AM 25/5 Tablet may include:
Prescription medicine (Schedule H). May cause dizziness—avoid driving/operating machinery until you know its effect. Use with caution in asthma/COPD, diabetes (may mask low sugar symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and in patients with slow heart rate, heart block, or heart failure unless supervised by a doctor. Do not discontinue abruptly (risk of rebound angina/hypertension). Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly.
