Medical device: 2-way Foley catheter made of 100% silicone, size 16 FG (French Gauge)
Short-term or long-term urinary bladder drainage, urinary retention/obstruction, perioperative bladder drainage, accurate urine output monitoring in critically ill patients
A Foley catheter is inserted into the urinary bladder via the urethra to provide continuous urine drainage. An inflatable retention balloon (second lumen) is filled with sterile water to keep the catheter in place while the main lumen allows urine to drain to a collection bag.
Use only by trained healthcare personnel. Maintain aseptic technique; select appropriate size (16 FG) and balloon volume as per pack/clinical need. Lubricate, insert until urine flows, then advance slightly and inflate balloon with sterile water only; connect to urine bag and secure catheter. Keep drainage bag below bladder level and maintain closed drainage; remove when clinically indicated by deflating balloon completely.

Single-use unless explicitly labeled otherwise; do not reuse. Use strict aseptic technique to reduce CAUTI risk. Ensure correct balloon inflation volume; never inflate balloon in urethra. Do not use air or saline to inflate balloon unless specified; use sterile water. Monitor for fever, foul-smelling urine, suprapubic pain, reduced flow, blood in urine, or leakage—seek medical advice. Use caution in urethral stricture, recent urological surgery, bleeding disorders, or latex allergy history (this product is silicone but check accessory materials/packaging).
