Important Warnings

Risk of muscle problems (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) especially with higher doses, older age, kidney impairment, uncontrolled hypothyroidism, or interacting medicines—seek care for unexplained muscle pain/weakness with fever or dark urine. Liver enzyme elevations can occur; caution in liver disease and avoid in active liver disease. Dose adjustment/caution in kidney impairment; monitor lipids and liver function as advised. May increase blood sugar; caution in diabetes/prediabetes. Not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions

Rozustat 5MG Tab may interact with the following:

Cyclosporine (contraindicated/avoid)
gemfibrozil and other fibrates (↑ myopathy risk)
niacin (↑ myopathy risk)
protease inhibitors (e.g.
ritonavir/atazanavir/lopinavir) (↑ rosuvastatin levels)
warfarin/other anticoagulants (may alter INR)
ezetimibe (↑ muscle risk)
antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce absorption—separate by at least 2 hours)
