Important Warnings

Not for immediate relief of acute bronchospasm—keep a rescue bronchodilator as advised. Rinse mouth after each use to prevent fungal infection. Use with caution in untreated infections (TB, fungal/viral), glaucoma/cataract, liver disease; long-term/high-dose use may suppress adrenal function and affect growth in children. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice. Seek care if worsening breathlessness, fever, white patches in mouth, or vision changes.

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole
itraconazole
voriconazole
ritonavir/cobicistat
clarithromycin) may increase budesonide levels and systemic steroid effects; other corticosteroids may add to side effects; live vaccines should be used with medical advice
