Important Warnings

Prescription medicine. May cause dizziness—avoid driving until you know the effect. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function (serum creatinine), and electrolytes (potassium, sodium). Risk of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, especially in elderly or with vomiting/diarrhoea. Use with caution in kidney or liver impairment, gout, diabetes. Not recommended in pregnancy (can harm fetus) and generally avoid during breastfeeding unless advised. Seek medical help for severe weakness, fainting, reduced urine output, or swelling/angioedema.

other antihypertensives (additive hypotension)
potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (hyperkalemia risk with telmisartan)
ACE inhibitors/aliskiren (renal/hyperkalemia risk; avoid in diabetes with aliskiren)
corticosteroids (electrolyte changes)
antidiabetic medicines (may need dose adjustment)
