Important Warnings

Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and consult a doctor if pregnancy occurs. Use caution in kidney or liver impairment, dehydration, low blood pressure, heart failure, aortic stenosis, and elderly patients. May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Monitor kidney function and potassium, especially if on diuretics or kidney disease. Seek urgent care for severe swelling of face/lips (angioedema) or fainting.

Potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics (hyperkalemia)
other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive hypotension)
NSAIDs (reduced effect and kidney risk)
lithium (toxicity)
aliskiren or ACE inhibitors (increased renal/potassium risk; avoid in diabetes)
grapefruit juice (may increase amlodipine levels)
strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers (may alter amlodipine effect)
