Important Warnings

Use only for bacterial infections; misuse may cause resistance. Do not use in patients with known allergy to cefaclor/cephalosporins; use caution in penicillin allergy (cross-reactivity possible). Use with caution in kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed). Antibiotic-associated diarrhoea/colitis (C. difficile) can occur—seek medical help for severe/persistent diarrhoea or blood in stools. Stop and seek urgent care for signs of severe allergy (swelling, breathing difficulty, widespread rash).

Drug Interactions

Theiaclor 125MG Sus may interact with the following:

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (may increase bleeding risk)
probenecid (may increase cefaclor levels)
live bacterial vaccines such as oral typhoid vaccine (reduced effect)
broad use with other nephrotoxic drugs requires caution
