Important Warnings

Use only under medical supervision. Not suitable for calcified/non-cholesterol gallstones, non-functioning gallbladder, biliary obstruction, acute cholecystitis/cholangitis, or frequent biliary colic. Monitor liver function tests and clinical response; stop/seek care if severe abdominal pain, jaundice worsening, persistent diarrhoea, or allergic reactions occur. Use with caution in pregnancy/breastfeeding and in patients with advanced liver disease as advised by doctor.

Drug Interactions

URSODIN 300MG TAB may interact with the following:

Bile acid sequestrants (cholestyramine
colestipol) and aluminium-containing antacids/sucralfate may reduce absorption (separate dosing by 2–4 hours). Oestrogens/oral contraceptives and clofibrate may increase gallstone formation and reduce efficacy. May affect levels of ciclosporin; monitor and adjust if needed. Other potential interactions: certain lipid-lowering agents; inform doctor of all medicines.
