Depilatory cream base with thioglycolate salts (commonly calcium thioglycolate/potassium thioglycolate) and alkaline agent (e.g., calcium hydroxide); exact composition/strengths vary by variant

Depilatory creams use thioglycolate salts in an alkaline base to break disulfide bonds in keratin, weakening the hair shaft at/near the skin surface. The softened hair can then be wiped off easily.

For external use only. Perform a patch test 24 hours before each use. Apply an even layer on clean, dry skin without rubbing; leave for the time stated on the pack (do not exceed). Remove with spatula/cloth and rinse thoroughly with water; avoid soap/perfumed products immediately after. Use only on areas permitted on the label; avoid use on irritated, broken or sunburnt skin.
