Important Warnings

Prescription-only NSAID. Risk of serious cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) may increase with dose/duration; avoid/use with caution in patients with heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or history of stroke. Can cause GI irritation/ulcer/bleeding (risk higher in elderly, with alcohol, steroids, anticoagulants). May worsen kidney function and cause fluid retention; caution in kidney disease, heart failure, dehydration. Monitor blood pressure; caution in liver disease. Avoid in patients with NSAID/aspirin allergy, active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding. Stop and seek care for chest pain, shortness of breath, black stools, severe abdominal pain, facial swelling, or rash.

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (↑ bleeding/INR)
antiplatelets like aspirin/clopidogrel (↑ bleeding)
other NSAIDs (↑ GI/kidney risk)
ACE inhibitors/ARBs and diuretics (↑ kidney risk
↓ antihypertensive effect)
lithium (↑ levels)
methotrexate (↑ toxicity)
cyclosporine/tacrolimus (↑ kidney risk)
corticosteroids (↑ GI bleed)
rifampicin (↓ etoricoxib levels)
