Prednisolone (20mg)
Allergic conditions (e.g., severe allergy, urticaria), asthma/COPD exacerbations, autoimmune and inflammatory disorders (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, lupus), dermatological inflammation, nephrotic syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease; other steroid-responsive conditions as prescribed
Prednisolone is a corticosteroid that suppresses inflammation and immune responses by reducing the release of inflammatory mediators and decreasing immune cell activity. This helps relieve swelling, redness, itching and allergic symptoms.
Use exactly as prescribed. Disperse the tablet in a small amount of water and consume immediately (or swallow if advised). Preferably take with food or after meals to reduce stomach upset; take at the same time each day. Do not stop abruptly—dose should be tapered as directed.
