Important Warnings

Not a substitute for a balanced diet. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease, history of kidney stones, iron overload disorders, or copper metabolism disorders. Long-term high-dose zinc may cause copper deficiency—use only as advised. If pregnant/breastfeeding, on chronic medication, or if symptoms persist, consult a doctor. Discontinue and seek medical advice if allergic reactions occur.

Drug Interactions

Xanlut Cap may interact with the following:

Zinc may reduce absorption of tetracycline and fluoroquinolone antibiotics (separate by 2–6 hours). Zinc/copper can interfere with penicillamine (separate dosing). Antioxidant supplements may interact with anticoagulants/antiplatelets (e.g.
warfarin) at higher vitamin E doses—monitor if used together. Bile acid sequestrants/orlistat may reduce absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and carotenoids.

Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
