Important Warnings

Do not stop suddenly (may worsen angina/trigger heart attack); taper under medical supervision. Use with caution in asthma/COPD (may cause bronchospasm), diabetes (may mask low-sugar symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, and in patients with bradycardia, heart block, or acute decompensated heart failure. Monitor blood pressure and pulse; seek help if fainting, very slow pulse, wheezing, or worsening breathlessness/swelling occurs.

clonidine (rebound hypertension if withdrawn improperly)

NSAIDs (reduced BP effect)
CYP2D6 inhibitors like fluoxetine/paroxetine/quinidine (increased metoprolol levels).
