Uses of Ziblok 25MG

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and as add-on therapy in stable chronic heart failure; also used for rate control in certain tachyarrhythmias as prescribed.

How it works

Metoprolol is a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic blocker. It reduces heart rate and the force of contraction, lowering blood pressure and myocardial oxygen demand. In heart failure, it helps improve cardiac function over time by reducing harmful sympathetic stimulation.

Directions for use

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily for prolonged-release tablets. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Can be taken with or without food, but take at the same time each day for best effect.
