Important Warnings

Prescription medicine. Report unexplained muscle pain/tenderness/weakness, dark urine or severe fatigue (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Periodic liver function tests may be needed; avoid in active liver disease. Use caution in kidney disease, hypothyroidism, heavy alcohol use, and in elderly patients (higher muscle risk). Not recommended in pregnancy; discontinue if pregnancy occurs. Avoid breastfeeding. If persistent abdominal pain occurs, seek medical advice (rare pancreatitis).

Cyclosporine (contraindicated/avoid)
gemfibrozil and other fibrates (increased myopathy risk)
niacin (increased muscle risk)
macrolide antibiotics and azole antifungals (may increase statin levels)
protease inhibitors (increase rosuvastatin exposure)
warfarin/other anticoagulants (monitor INR)
antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate dosing)
