Zyrova B 40 Tablet contains Bempedoic acid (180mg) + Rosuvastatin (40mg). It belongs to the HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) + cholesterol absorption inhibitor class of medicines.

How Zyrova B 40 Tablet works

Rosuvastatin is a statin (HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces cholesterol production in the liver and increases LDL clearance from blood. Ezetimibe reduces absorption of dietary and biliary cholesterol from the intestine. Together they produce a greater LDL‑cholesterol reduction than either alone.

How to take Zyrova B 40 Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed. Continue diet and lifestyle measures; do not stop without medical advice.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Zyrova B 180mg/40mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Zyrova B than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Zyrova B 40 Tablet

Most side effects of Zyrova B are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• muscle pain (myalgia)
• weakness
• abdominal pain
• constipation
• nausea
• diarrhea
• increased liver enzymes
• dizziness

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Prescription medicine. Report unexplained muscle pain/tenderness/weakness, dark urine or severe fatigue (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Periodic liver function tests may be needed; avoid in active liver disease. Use caution in kidney disease, hypothyroidism, heavy alcohol use, and in elderly patients (higher muscle risk). Not recommended in pregnancy; discontinue if pregnancy occurs. Avoid breastfeeding. If persistent abdominal pain occurs, seek medical advice (rare pancreatitis).

Interactions with other medicines

Cyclosporine (contraindicated/avoid), gemfibrozil and other fibrates (increased myopathy risk), niacin (increased muscle risk), macrolide antibiotics and azole antifungals (may increase statin levels), protease inhibitors (increase rosuvastatin exposure), warfarin/other anticoagulants (monitor INR), antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate dosing)

Inform your doctor if you experience fatigue, muscle weakness, or muscle pain. Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems, such as stomach pains, unusually dark urine, or yellowing of skin or eyes. They may check your liver function before starting the treatment and regularly thereafter. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood sugar level regularly, as Zyrova B 180mg/40mg Tablet may increase your blood sugar level. Lifestyle changes, like a low-fat and salt diet, exercise, not smoking, and cutting down on the amount of alcohol you normally drink, may help this medicine work better.
