How Zyrova B 40 Tablet works
Rosuvastatin is a statin (HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces cholesterol production in the liver and increases LDL clearance from blood. Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Zyrova B 180mg/40mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause immediate harm but may increase the risk of muscle and liver injury. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

Periodic liver function tests may be needed; avoid in active liver disease. Use caution in kidney disease, hypothyroidism, heavy alcohol use, and in elderly patients (higher muscle risk). Not recommended in pregnancy; discontinue if pregnancy occurs. Avoid breastfeeding. If persistent abdominal pain occurs, seek medical advice (rare pancreatitis).

Interactions with other medicines
Cyclosporine (contraindicated/avoid), gemfibrozil and other fibrates (increased myopathy risk), niacin (increased muscle risk), macrolide antibiotics and azole antifungals (may increase statin levels), protease inhibitors (increase rosuvastatin exposure), warfarin/other anticoagulants (monitor INR), antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate dosing)
