How It Works
Cilnidipine lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels via L-type calcium channel blockade. Its N-type calcium channel blockade may reduce sympathetic overactivity and help control BP.
Directions for Use
Take once daily as prescribed, at the same time each day. May be taken with or without food. Continue regularly even if you feel well; monitor BP.
May cause low blood pressure and dizziness; be cautious while driving. Use caution in liver disease and in elderly patients. Tell your doctor about heart problems and all medicines you take.
Drug Interactions
Other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), CYP3A4 inhibitors (macrolides, azoles) increase levels, CYP3A4 inducers (rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine) reduce effect, grapefruit juice may increase levels
