Prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency, osteoporosis/osteopenia, bone health support in elderly, pregnancy and lactation (as advised), fracture healing support
Calcium is an essential mineral required for bone mineralization and maintenance of bone strength. Supplementation restores low calcium levels and supports normal muscle and nerve function.
Take as directed by doctor. Usually taken once daily after food to improve absorption and reduce stomach upset. Swallow tablet with water; do not exceed recommended dose.
Constipation, bloating, nausea, abdominal discomfort, gas
Use with caution in kidney disease, history of kidney stones, hypercalcemia, hyperparathyroidism, or sarcoidosis. Avoid taking high doses without medical advice; prolonged excess can cause hypercalcemia and stones. Separate from certain medicines by 2-4 hours.
Levothyroxine, tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones (e.g. ciprofloxacin/ofloxacin), bisphosphonates (e.g. alendronate), iron salts, zinc, thiazide diuretics, digoxin
