Uses & Benefits
Bacterial eye infections with inflammation (e.g. conjunctivitis, blepharitis) and bacterial ear infections with inflammation (as diagnosed by doctor)
How It Works
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase/topoisomerase, stopping bacterial growth. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, swelling and pain.
Directions for Use
Use only as prescribed. For eye: instill drops into affected eye(s) without touching tip; close eye for 1-2 minutes. For ear: instill into affected ear; keep head tilted for a few minutes. Remove contact lenses unless advised. Do not stop early even if symptoms improve.
Not for viral/fungal eye infections. Prolonged steroid use may increase eye pressure, cause glaucoma/cataract, delay healing and increase secondary infections. Seek care for worsening pain, vision changes, severe swelling or allergic reaction. Use in pregnancy/children only on medical advice.
Drug Interactions
No major systemic interactions expected with topical use; avoid combining with other ocular/otic products without spacing (5-10 minutes) and medical advice
