Treatment of vitamin D deficiency; used for deficiency-related bone pain, osteomalacia, and as adjunct in osteoporosis management as directed by physician.

Vitamin D3 replenishes deficient stores and increases calcium and phosphate absorption from the gut, improving bone mineralization. High-dose therapy helps correct deficiency more quickly.

Take as prescribed, commonly 1 sachet once weekly. Empty granules into milk/water and consume immediately after mixing; take after food for better absorption. Do not exceed prescribed frequency.

Nausea, constipation, abdominal discomfort, headache, increased thirst/urination (with hypercalcemia)

Overdose can cause high calcium; avoid taking multiple vitamin D products simultaneously unless advised. Use caution in kidney disease, kidney stones, hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis. Monitoring may be needed for prolonged/high-dose use.

Thiazide diuretics, digoxin, anticonvulsants, rifampicin, corticosteroids, cholestyramine/orlistat
