Monograph
Spray
Helps protect skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays; used to prevent sunburn, tanning and photoaging; supportive protection against sun-induced pigmentation and photodermatoses
SPF 50 sunscreen filters absorb, reflect and/or scatter ultraviolet radiation to reduce UV penetration into the skin. Broad-spectrum protection helps prevent UVB-induced sunburn and UVA-induced premature aging and pigmentation.
For external use only. Shake well and apply generously and evenly on exposed skin 15–20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying. Avoid spraying directly on face; spray onto palms and apply to face. Can be used on body; do not apply on broken/irritated skin.
Mild burning/stinging, skin irritation, redness, itching, dryness, rash, acneiform breakout, eye irritation (if contact)
Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; rinse with water if contact occurs. Discontinue and consult a doctor if rash/irritation persists. Keep away from flames/heat sources (aerosol/alcohol-based sprays may be flammable). Do not inhale; use in a well-ventilated area. Not a substitute for protective clothing; avoid peak sun hours.
No significant drug interactions expected with topical sunscreen; increased sensitivity/need for photoprotection with photosensitizing medicines (e.g., tetracyclines, retinoids, thiazides, fluoroquinolones)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep container tightly closed; keep away from flames. Keep out of reach of children.
