Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar),injection site reactions (pain, redness, swelling),weight gain,lipodystrophy (lumps or dents at injection site),oedema,allergic reactions (rash, itching)
How does this medicine work?
This is a premixed insulin containing short-acting regular insulin for mealtime glucose control and intermediate-acting NPH insulin for longer basal control. It lowers blood glucose by increasing glucose uptake in muscle and fat and reducing glucose production by the liver.
How should I use this medicine?
For subcutaneous injection only, as prescribed by the doctor. Usually injected 30 minutes before meals; dosing and timing are individualized based on blood glucose. Rotate injection sites (abdomen, thigh, upper arm); do not massage the site. Do not use if the suspension is not uniformly milky after gentle rolling.
How should I store this medicine?
Store refrigerated at 2–8°C; do not freeze. Protect from light. After opening/in-use, store as per label instructions (often below 25–30°C) and use within the recommended period; keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
