Self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) for people with diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational) or as advised by a doctor; helps track fasting/post-meal glucose and day-to-day trends

The meter measures glucose in a small drop of capillary blood applied to a disposable test strip. The strip uses an enzyme-based electrochemical reaction to generate an electrical signal proportional to blood glucose, which the device converts to a displayed reading.

Use as per user manual. Insert a OneTouch Select Plus test strip into the meter, use a lancing device to obtain a fingertip blood drop, touch strip tip to blood until filled, and wait for the result. Test at the times advised by your doctor (e.g., fasting, before/after meals, bedtime). Store strips properly and use within expiry; do not reuse strips.

Pain at finger prick, minor bleeding, bruising, skin irritation, local infection (rare)

For in-vitro diagnostic self-testing only. Readings can be inaccurate if strips are expired/improperly stored, hands are not clean/dry, insufficient sample is applied, or in conditions like severe dehydration/shock or poor peripheral circulation—follow physician advice if results don’t match symptoms. Use a new sterile lancet each time and dispose of sharps safely. Keep device/strips out of reach of children. Calibrate/verify performance as per manufacturer instructions (control solution/testing if applicable).

Some substances/conditions may affect glucose readings depending on strip chemistry (refer to strip insert); dehydration, hypotension/shock, high altitude and extreme hematocrit levels may impact accuracy. No drug interactions applicable to the device itself.

Store the meter in a clean, dry place at room temperature away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Store test strips in the original vial with cap tightly closed; do not refrigerate/freeze; avoid humidity and heat; use before expiry.
