Pregabalin 75 mg + Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) 750 mcg (capsule)
Neuropathic pain (e.g., diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia), nerve pain associated with vitamin B12 deficiency, tingling/numbness due to peripheral neuropathy
Pregabalin binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the CNS, reducing release of excitatory neurotransmitters and thereby decreasing neuropathic pain. Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12 that supports myelin formation and nerve repair, helping improve nerve function.
Take orally as prescribed by the doctor, usually once or twice daily. Can be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day. Swallow capsule whole; do not crush or chew. Do not stop suddenly—taper as advised.
Dizziness, drowsiness/somnolence, blurred vision, dry mouth, weight gain, peripheral edema (swelling), constipation, difficulty concentrating
May cause dizziness and sleepiness—avoid driving or operating machinery until you know its effects. Use with caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed). Risk of swelling/edema and weight gain; caution in heart failure. Do not stop abruptly (may cause withdrawal symptoms). Rarely may cause mood changes/suicidal thoughts—seek medical help if depression, unusual behavior, or self-harm thoughts occur. Hypersensitivity reactions (rash, facial swelling) require urgent care.
Alcohol and other CNS depressants (increased sedation), opioids (e.g., morphine, tramadol—higher risk of sedation/respiratory depression), benzodiazepines, antihistamines (sedation), other antiepileptics (additive dizziness), antidiabetic thiazolidinediones like pioglitazone/rosiglitazone (increased edema/weight gain)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct light. Keep in original pack and out of reach of children.
