Telmichek-A Tablet

Telmichek-A Tablet contains Telmisartan (40mg) + Amlodipine (5mg). Prescription required.

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single-drug therapy is insufficient; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular events by controlling BP.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II effects. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates arteries by reducing calcium entry into vascular smooth muscle. Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either alone.

Oral tablet: take once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed. Swallow whole with water; do not stop abruptly without medical advice. Monitor blood pressure regularly.

Dizziness, headache, ankle swelling (edema), flushing, fatigue, palpitations, nausea, abdominal pain

Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and consult doctor immediately if pregnancy occurs. Use caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, dehydration/low salt intake, severe aortic stenosis, heart failure, or history of angioedema. May cause low blood pressure especially after first dose; rise slowly from sitting/lying. Periodic monitoring of kidney function and potassium may be needed. Use caution in elderly.

Potassium supplements/salt substitutes, potassium-sparing diuretics (e.g., spironolactone), ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (increased risk of kidney problems/hyperkalemia), NSAIDs (may reduce effect and worsen kidney function), lithium (toxicity risk), other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive hypotension), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers affecting amlodipine (e.g., clarithromycin, azole antifungals, rifampicin), grapefruit juice (may increase amlodipine levels)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
