Sensodent K Paste

Potassium nitrate 5% w/w + Sodium monofluorophosphate 0.7% w/w (≈1000 ppm fluoride) in toothpaste base

Management of dentinal hypersensitivity (tooth sensitivity) to hot/cold/sweet/acidic stimuli; prevention of dental caries and strengthening of enamel as part of daily oral hygiene

Potassium nitrate reduces sensitivity by depolarizing nerve endings in exposed dentin, decreasing pain signal transmission. Sodium monofluorophosphate releases fluoride that enhances remineralization and makes enamel more resistant to acid attack, helping prevent cavities.

Toothpaste for topical dental use only. Brush teeth thoroughly for 2–3 minutes, twice daily (or as advised by dentist). Use a pea-sized amount; spit out after brushing and avoid swallowing. For children, use under adult supervision.

Mild mouth irritation, burning/tingling sensation, altered taste, gum irritation, nausea (if swallowed)

Do not swallow; if large amounts are ingested seek medical advice. Stop use and consult a dentist/doctor if irritation, rash, swelling, or sensitivity persists/worsens. Not for children below 6 years unless advised by a dentist (risk of fluorosis if swallowed). Keep out of reach of children. If using other fluoride products, consult a dentist to avoid excessive fluoride exposure.

No clinically significant systemic drug interactions expected due to topical use. Avoid concurrent use of multiple high-fluoride dental products unless advised by a dentist.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place. Keep cap tightly closed. Protect from excessive heat and moisture.
