Vepan -500 mg contains Cefadroxil (100mg) and is used for bacterial infections. Prescription required.

Treatment of Bacterial infections

Vepan 100mg Drop is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) that is needed for them to survive.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Vepan 100mg Drop may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Finish the whole course even after you feel better — stopping early breeds resistant bacteria. Tell your doctor if you have ever had a severe reaction to penicillin; a small proportion of people react to both groups. Report severe or watery loose motions during or after the course rather than treating them yourself. Several medicines in this group are on Schedule H1 precisely because overuse drives antibiotic resistance. Take it only when a doctor has prescribed it for you.

Antacids, iron and zinc reduce absorption — separate them by a couple of hours. Tell your doctor if you take a blood thinner.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
