What is Airneb 3% Respules used for?

To help loosen and clear thick mucus in the airways in conditions such as bronchiectasis
cystic fibrosis
bronchiolitis and other mucus-retaining respiratory illnesses; adjunct in productive cough with thick sputum as advised by doctor

How Airneb 3% Respules Works

Hypertonic saline draws water into the airway surface liquid by osmosis, which hydrates and thins thick mucus. This improves mucociliary clearance and makes it easier to cough out phlegm.

Dosage & Directions

For inhalation via nebulizer only. Use one respule (4 mL) as prescribed; generally nebulize the entire contents using a jet/mesh nebulizer until finished. Use under medical advice; some patients may be advised to take a bronchodilator before nebulization to reduce bronchospasm risk. Do not inject or take orally.
