Important Warnings

May cause dizziness/fainting especially after first doses or when standing up quickly; avoid driving until you know the effect. Use with caution in patients with low blood pressure, heart rhythm problems (QT prolongation), coronary artery disease, liver impairment, and elderly. Seek urgent care for prolonged painful erection (priapism) or severe allergic reaction. Inform surgeon/eye doctor before cataract/glaucoma surgery (risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome).

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole
itraconazole
ritonavir)
other alpha-blockers
antihypertensives
nitrates (e.g.
nitroglycerin)
PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil
tadalafil) may increase risk of low blood pressure; drugs that prolong QT interval may increase arrhythmia risk.
