Alka Shot Syrup — Side Effects & Warnings
Known side effects of Alka Shot Syrup include Nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, belching, bloating. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings
Use with caution in kidney disease, heart failure, hypertension, or patients on sodium-restricted diets (some antacids contain sodium). Prolonged or excessive use may cause electrolyte imbalance or rebound acidity. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist beyond 7 days, if you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, or unintended weight loss. Not a substitute for evaluation of chronic GERD/ulcer disease.
Drug Interactions
Alka Shot Syrup may interact with the following:
May reduce absorption of tetracyclines
fluoroquinolones
iron salts
levothyroxine
digoxin; separate by 2–4 hours. If it contains aluminium/magnesium
caution with other magnesium/aluminium products; if it contains sodium bicarbonate/citrate
caution with drugs affected by urine pH.
Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
