Potassium Citrate (1100mg/5ml) + Magnesium Citrate (375mg/5ml) + Vitamin B6 (20mg/5ml)
Relief of acidity, heartburn, indigestion, sour stomach and gas; alkaliniser for hyperacidity.
It acts as an antacid/alkaliniser that neutralizes excess stomach acid and raises gastric pH. This reduces irritation of the stomach/food pipe lining and provides symptomatic relief from burning and discomfort.
Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Take the measured dose after meals and/or at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose; keep a gap of at least 2 hours from other medicines.
Common side effects of Alka Shot Syrup may include:
Use with caution in kidney disease, heart failure, hypertension, or patients on sodium-restricted diets (some antacids contain sodium). Prolonged or excessive use may cause electrolyte imbalance or rebound acidity. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist beyond 7 days, if you have severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, black stools, or unintended weight loss. Not a substitute for evaluation of chronic GERD/ulcer disease.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Alka Shot Syrup. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
