What is Anestop Eye Drops used for?

Used as a topical ocular local anaesthetic to numb the eye before diagnostic or minor surgical procedures (e.g.

How Anestop Eye Drops Works

Topical local anaesthetics block sodium channels in nerve endings of the cornea and conjunctiva. This prevents initiation and conduction of nerve impulses, producing temporary numbness of the eye surface.

Dosage & Directions

For ophthalmic use only. Instilled into the affected eye(s) as directed by an eye specialist, usually 1–2 drops prior to the procedure; onset is rapid and duration is short. Do not use for self-treatment or prolonged use.
