Important Warnings
High-dose vitamin D can cause hypercalcaemia/hypercalciuria; use with caution in patients with kidney disease, renal stones, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous diseases. Avoid concomitant high-dose calcium/vitamin D unless advised. Monitor serum calcium, phosphate, creatinine and 25(OH)D especially with repeated dosing. Not for IV use; administer by healthcare professional.

Thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcaemia)
digoxin/other cardiac glycosides (arrhythmia risk with high calcium)
anticonvulsants like phenytoin/phenobarbital and rifampicin (reduced vitamin D effect)
systemic corticosteroids (reduced vitamin D action)
magnesium-containing antacids (risk of hypermagnesaemia in renal impairment)
