Important Warnings

Schedule H: use on prescription only. Use with caution in heart disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and seizure disorders. May cause low potassium (hypokalaemia), especially with high doses or when used with diuretics/steroids. Use cautiously in pregnancy and breastfeeding; consult doctor.

propranolol) may reduce effect and cause bronchospasm; other sympathomimetics may increase side effects; diuretics
corticosteroids and xanthines (theophylline) may increase risk of hypokalaemia; MAO inhibitors/TCAs may potentiate cardiovascular effects; digoxin levels may decrease with hypokalaemia risk
