Known side effects of ATEN D TAB include dizziness, fatigue, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, increased urination, headache, nausea, weakness, electrolyte imbalance (low potassium/sodium), increased blood sugar, increased uric acid. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings

Use with caution in diabetes (may mask hypoglycaemia symptoms), asthma/COPD (beta-blockers may worsen bronchospasm), kidney or liver impairment, gout, electrolyte imbalance, and in the elderly. Monitor blood pressure, pulse, electrolytes, renal function and blood glucose periodically. Do not discontinue abruptly (risk of rebound hypertension/angina). Seek help for severe dizziness, fainting, very slow pulse, wheeze, or signs of dehydration.

corticosteroids or amphotericin B (low potassium)
ACE inhibitors/ARBs or potassium supplements (electrolyte changes)
