How Betadine 10% Solution Works
Povidone-iodine slowly releases free iodine on the skin. Iodine penetrates microorganisms and inactivates proteins and enzymes, killing a broad range of bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa.
Dosage & Directions
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer of ointment 1-3 times daily or as advised by a doctor; may be covered with sterile gauze. Avoid use with tight occlusive dressings unless advised. Wash hands after application; avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
