Ramipril 1.25 mg
Treatment of high blood pressure, heart failure (as prescribed), reducing risk of heart attack/stroke in high-risk patients, and kidney protection in certain patients with diabetes/proteinuria.
Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor that reduces formation of angiotensin II and decreases aldosterone. This relaxes blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and reduces strain on the heart.
Take once daily or as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow with water. Monitor blood pressure and kidney function as advised; do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
Common side effects of Cardace 1.25 Tablet may include:
Contraindicated in pregnancy (can harm fetus). Risk of angioedema (face/lip/tongue swelling) — seek emergency care. Monitor kidney function and potassium, especially in elderly, dehydration, renal artery stenosis. Use caution with low salt diets and diuretics (first-dose hypotension).
