Erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men
Sildenafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor that increases cGMP in penile tissue, improving blood flow during sexual stimulation. It helps achieve and maintain an erection but does not work without sexual arousal.
Take 30-60 minutes before sexual activity as prescribed; do not take more than once in 24 hours. Can be taken with or without food, but high-fat meals may delay onset.

Do not use with nitrates (nitroglycerin/isosorbide) or riociguat due to dangerous blood pressure drop. Use caution in heart disease, low BP, stroke/MI history, severe liver/kidney disease, and anatomical penile deformity. Seek urgent care for chest pain, sudden vision/hearing loss, or erection lasting >4 hours (priapism).
