Clotrimazole 1% w/w

Topical antifungal used for superficial fungal infections of the skin such as tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), cutaneous candidiasis, and fungal rash with itching and irritation.

Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This increases membrane permeability and leads to leakage of cell contents, stopping fungal growth and clearing infection.

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then dust a thin layer of powder 2-3 times daily or as directed by the doctor. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin; wash hands after use. Continue for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve.

Burning, stinging, itching, redness, irritation, dryness, rash

Use only on skin. Do not use on eyes, inside mouth, vagina, or on open wounds unless advised. Stop and consult a doctor if severe irritation/allergy occurs or if no improvement is seen after 2 weeks (athlete’s foot) or 1 week (jock itch/ringworm). Keep the area dry and avoid sharing towels/clothing to prevent reinfection. In Schedule H products, use under medical advice.

No significant drug interactions expected with topical use; avoid using other topical medicines on the same area unless advised (may increase irritation or reduce effect).

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep container tightly closed; protect from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
