Sildenafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor that enhances the natural erection response by increasing cGMP and relaxing blood vessels in the penis. It requires sexual stimulation to be effective.
Take about 30-60 minutes before sexual activity as prescribed; maximum once daily. Can be taken with or without food; fatty meals may delay effect.

Do not take with nitrates or riociguat. Use caution in heart disease, uncontrolled BP, recent stroke/MI, severe liver/kidney impairment, and conditions predisposing to priapism. Seek emergency help for chest pain, sudden vision loss, or erection lasting >4 hours.
