Bacterial infections susceptible to cefixime such as respiratory tract infections (pharyngitis/tonsillitis
bronchitis)
urinary tract infections
otitis media and uncomplicated typhoid fever (as prescribed).

How Cefix Dry Syrup Works

Cefixime (a third‑generation cephalosporin) inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin‑binding proteins, leading to cell lysis and death. It is effective against many Gram‑negative and some Gram‑positive bacteria.

Dosage & Directions

Dry syrup: reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the mark, shake well; use the measuring cup/syringe. Give the dose as prescribed, usually once or twice daily; may be taken with or without food. Shake well before each dose and complete the full course.
