Cilnidipine (10mg)
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that inhibits L-type calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle, causing vasodilation and lowering blood pressure. It also blocks N-type calcium channels, which may reduce sympathetic nerve activity.
Take once daily as directed by a doctor, preferably at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice; monitor blood pressure regularly.
Common side effects of Cilacar 10 Tablet may include:
Use caution in severe liver impairment and in elderly (risk of dizziness/falls). May cause low blood pressure; caution when driving initially. Inform doctor if you have heart failure, significant aortic stenosis, or are taking multiple antihypertensives. Not for acute hypertensive emergency.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Cilacar 10 Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
