Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor that decreases angiotensin II formation, relaxing blood vessels and lowering blood pressure. It reduces workload on the heart and can improve cardiac outcomes in selected patients. It may also provide kidney protective effects in some patients.
Take once daily preferably in the morning before food or as directed. Swallow with water; take at the same time daily. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function and potassium is recommended.
Common side effects of Coversyl 2 Tablet may include:



Contraindicated in pregnancy. Risk of angioedema; stop and seek urgent help if swelling of face/lips/tongue or breathing difficulty occurs. Use caution in kidney impairment, renal artery stenosis, dehydration, and when taking potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics.
