Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor that reduces formation of angiotensin II, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and reduced blood pressure. It also lowers aldosterone, reducing fluid load and easing strain on the heart.
Take as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food; taking before meals is often advised. Swallow whole with water and continue regularly even if you feel well.
Common side effects of Coversyl 4 Tablet may include:



May cause dizziness/low BP especially after first dose; rise slowly from sitting. Risk of hyperkalemia and kidney function worsening; periodic BP, creatinine and potassium monitoring needed. Avoid in pregnancy; contraindicated with history of angioedema. Seek urgent care for swelling of face/lips/tongue or breathing difficulty.
