Known side effects of DIENOFEM TAB include Headache, breast tenderness, nausea, abdominal pain, acne, weight gain, mood changes/depression, decreased libido, irregular vaginal bleeding/spotting. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings

Prescription medicine. Not recommended in pregnancy; rule out pregnancy before starting. Use caution in patients with history of thromboembolic disorders, severe liver disease, liver tumors, unexplained vaginal bleeding, depression, diabetes or cardiovascular risk factors. May cause irregular bleeding, mood changes and rarely blood clots; seek urgent care for chest pain, severe headache, vision changes, leg swelling or breathlessness. Not a contraceptive—use non-hormonal contraception if pregnancy prevention is needed. May reduce bone mineral density with long-term use in some patients; doctor may monitor.

Strong CYP3A4 inducers may reduce effect (rifampicin
carbamazepine
phenytoin
phenobarbital
primidone
St John’s wort); CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase levels (ketoconazole
itraconazole
clarithromycin
ritonavir/cobicistat); use caution with other hormonal therapies/combined oral contraceptives; may affect glucose tolerance with antidiabetics (monitor).
