DIVALVIS OD 250 TAB is used for Treatment of epilepsy/seizure disorders, acute manic episodes in bipolar disorder, prevention of migraine headaches (prophylaxis).
Divalproex sodium dissociates to valproate in the body. Valproate increases brain GABA activity and modulates sodium and calcium channels, stabilizing neuronal firing and reducing abnormal electrical activity.
Dosage & Directions
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily (OD). Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush, chew or split (extended-release). Can be taken with food to reduce stomach upset; take at the same time each day.
