What is Empaben L 25/5MG Tab used for?

Type 2 diabetes mellitus: to improve glycaemic control in adults as an adjunct to diet and exercise
when treatment with empagliflozin and linagliptin is appropriate (including add-on to other antidiabetic medicines).

How Empaben L 25/5MG Tab Works

Empagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood glucose by increasing urinary glucose excretion via the kidneys. Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin levels (GLP-1, GIP), enhancing insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner.

Dosage & Directions

Oral tablet. Typically taken once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed by a doctor. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew. Maintain hydration and follow diet/exercise advice.
