Enalapril Maleate 10 mg
Hypertension (high blood pressure), heart failure, prevention of worsening heart function after heart attack/left ventricular dysfunction (as prescribed)
Enalapril is an ACE inhibitor that reduces formation of angiotensin II, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and reduced aldosterone. This lowers blood pressure and decreases workload on the heart.
Take as prescribed, usually once or twice daily, with or without food at the same time each day. If you feel dizzy after the first doses, take at bedtime. Do not stop abruptly without advice.
Common side effects of Envas 10 Tablet may include:
Contraindicated in pregnancy (risk of fetal harm) and history of angioedema with ACE inhibitors. Monitor kidney function and potassium; risk of hyperkalemia, hypotension, and renal impairment especially with dehydration/diuretics. Seek urgent care for swelling of face/lips/tongue or breathing difficulty.
