Clindamycin 1% w/w
Acne vulgaris (pimples), infected acne lesions, inflammatory acne
Clindamycin is a lincosamide antibiotic that reduces acne-causing bacteria (Cutibacterium acnes) on the skin and decreases inflammation. This helps reduce pimples and redness over time.
For external use only. Clean and dry affected area, then apply a thin layer once or twice daily as advised. Avoid eyes, mouth, nostrils and broken skin; wash hands after application.
Common side effects of Erytop Gel (20 Gm) may include:
Stop and consult a doctor if severe irritation occurs. Rarely, topical clindamycin can cause antibiotic-associated diarrhea/colitis; seek care for severe diarrhea. Avoid prolonged unnecessary use to reduce resistance; may be used with benzoyl peroxide as prescribed.
